Greentouch Lawn and Landscape was chosen by Wichita Falls City Councilors Tuesday to haul in between 6,000 to 9,000 gallons of well water per day to keep the park open, and to make up for water loss.
The hauled water cost for the entire season is estimated to be around $70,000.
Councilors say that money will not be paid with tax dollars, but with actual revenue from the water park.
There are also other costs involving pumps and storage tanks but, city officials say if the park were to close, the city would face hundreds of thousands of dollars in net losses and be forced to lay off full time employees.
The water park is set to open May 20th.
