Board president Kevin Goldstein says one of the changes the board will make is to the choice letters. Letters will no longer be sent out in October. Goldstein says that will now be pushed back to January.
He also says second chances for letters not returned on time will be eliminated.
"We're going to be pretty stern that when the choice letters go out, you make your choice," Goldstein says. "We'll set up zones on what those schools will look like and what they can handle as far as capacity and if you didn't make that first choice then you may not get your first choice for that school."
Changes to the program are expected to be voted on during the board's work session set for October 1st.
