Former Rider Raider Chase Anderson received the call he's been waiting for. He's heading to the big leagues. The Arizona Diamondbacks promoted Anderson from Double-A Mobile to the big league club on Tuesday.

In six starts with Mobile , Anderson has thrown 39 innings and allowed three earned runs, for an ERA of 0.69.

"This means everything to me, every kids dream and I give all the glory to the Lord," says Anderson. "He has blessed me beyond belief. I want to thank all my coaches from Wichita Falls, Texas that helped me get to this point. It's just such a great experience and opportunity. This is for my dad!"

Anderson's father died of a massive heart attack in March of 2012.
