Chase starts in Cotton County ends near Electra

ELECTRA - A high-speed chase involving a stolen Dodge Charger Monday morning started in Cotton County, Oklahoma and ended in a crash near Electra.

Burkburnett Police, DPS and the Wichita County Sheriff's Office joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol as the chase went through Burkburnett.

The driver of the car got on Highway 240 and went west, and units set up spike strips on Highway 240 and Highway 25, but the drive turned off Highway 240 before reaching them.

Officials said the driver hit a telephone pole.

The driver was taken to the Electra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No word yet on possible charges.
