City leaders will hold their second Joint Land Use Study public forum this week.
In January, the first Joint Land Use Study took place at the MPEC.
This study is done at military installations across the U.S and is designed to improve the working relationship between communities and bases, like Sheppard.
It's made possible by a grant through the Department of Defense.
Officials say the goal is to accommodate for new economic development, protect public health and safety and sustain operational missions of Sheppard and Fredrick Auxiliary Airfield.
The next joint land use study public forum is Tuesday at 7 pm. at the Great Plains Technology center in Fredrick.
