City to Pay up to $50,000 Dollars for Retail Recruitment Services

Another item passed on the city council agenda is a resolution for the City to fund up to $50-thousand dollars to provide another year of retail recruitment services.

Buxton Consulting has assisted the City with retail and restaurant recruitment for over a year arranging a list of business matches that would make the best fit for Wichita Falls. Of those matches, Panda Express is already here and Specs Liquor Store is expected to open soon.

"The more distinct opportunities we have for retail, for restaurants, for entertainment the more likely we're going to capture more of our own sales tax dollars dollars instead of people driving to Dallas or to Oklahoma City to spend their money," Henry Florsheim, Chamber of Commerce President/CEO.
