The cloud seeding plane took off in Wichita Falls Wednesday morning with hopes of making rain more impactful.

Despite dark clouds and precipitation, Seeding Operations and Atmospheric Research, or S.O.A.R., says Wednesday's conditions have not created what they call "suitable clouds" which are needed for cloud seeding to be successful.

However, the plane did take off Wednesday morning. They say the plane flew for about an hour and a half just west of Lake Kemp, and shot off two flares to increase the rain.
