Results for a mental competency evaluation are in for a Duncan teen accused of fatally stabbing his former girlfriend.

Stephens County District Attorney Jason Hicks says 16-year-old Michael Anthony Ray has been found competent to stand trial.

In late July, his attorneys filed an application for a mental competency exam for the defendant.

Ray is charged with first degree murder with deliberate intent for the murder of 14-year-old Alyssa Wiles in June.

It happened in the 2000 block of West Walnut in Duncan.

Police say Wiles' father found her body in a pool of blood when he returned home from work.

They say Ray then confessed to stabbing her to death.

He's being held without bond.
