Six of the seven members of the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation have banded together, asking the Department of Defense to not bring more immigrant children to the Army post.
About 3600 kids are already being housed there.
Texoma congressmen say these children are interfering with military operations and training because they take up space at the facilities.
Here is what 13th District Congressman Mac Thornberry had to say about the housing situation:
"I've heard from several installations that they intend to use these facilities where the children are for various purposes: bring other soldiers in for training, for example, conduct various exercises. They can't do that when these facilities are occupied by the Department of Health and Human Services and these migrant children from Central America."
Congressman Thornberry says the longer the federal government allows the children to be housed at Department of Defense facilities, the bigger the effect will be on our military.
He says the only way to solve the problem is to send the kids back to their home countries.
