Convicted Car Burglar Arrested for Alleged Car Burglary Again

Police say a  man who's been involved with multiple car burglaries in the past resisted arrest when officers tried to arrest him near the scene of a reported car burglary last night.
Marcus Lashawn Tuft is jailed  for resisting  arrest and for bond forfeiture on an aggravated robbery charge.
Police say they were headed to the 3000 block of Cumberland at around 9:00 last night to investigate a reported car burglary and as they arrived they saw a vehicle matching the description that  the suspect was reported driving.
Officers  checked on the driver and found it was Marcus Tuft and that he had an aggravated robbery warrant. They say  when they told him he was under arrest, he said he was not going to jail and struggled with them briefly before officers took him into custody.
In 2015, Tuft was sentenced to 10 years probation for aggravated robbery. The year before that, he was charged with  burglarizing at least seven cars  at Parkway Villas Apartments on Brookdale.
