A man who's sentenced to three back-to-back life sentences for molesting three girls is no-billed on other charges he received while in the Wichita County Jail.

The Wichita County Grand Jury declined to indict Kurley Johnson on charges of assault on a public servant and retaliation, so he won't face trial for those charges.

Authorities say Johnson threw a food tray at a corrections officer, hitting his knee. They say Johnson said he intended to continue assaults on the officer every chance he got because the officer broke his finger in an earlier confrontation.

A 34-year-old woman charged in connection with a June 23rd shooting won't face trial for her charges. The grand jury no-billed Letisha Bell on two charges of aggravated assault.

The shooting happened in the 1400 block of Morgan Street. Police say two women had been arguing before the shooting about a stolen dog. A few hours later one of those women says she was driving when a man got out of a green Nissan and fired several shots at her vehicle.

Bell was later charged.
