Councilors Approve Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Budget

In a five-one vote, Wichita Falls City Councilors approve the 2012-2013 fiscal year budget.
That includes an increase in your property taxes.
District 4 Councilor Tim Ingle was the only councilor to vote against the budget.
A property tax increase was approved with a four-two vote.
Councilor Ingle and District Two Councilor Annetta Pope-Dotson were the councilors to vote against the tax increase.
Your property taxes will go up about one cent per $100 of property value.
So, for a homeowner with a $100-thousand home, your property taxes will go up about $10 per year.
