A display of Texoma's Western Heritage will soon put the spotlight on a cowboy's way of life.
Dan Shores, a local bit and spur artist, along with dozens of artists from New Mexico, Colorado, and Oklahoma will come together for Cowboy True, a celebration to honor working cowboys and the artwork that comes from their daily lives.
“Western art. One thing in North Texas there are a lot of artists, I mean sculpture to bit and spur makers and it's an opportunity for them to show their product and show their artwork,” said Shores.
The annual Kemp at the Forum Cowboy True, art exhibit and auction is set for march 28th and 29th at the J.S. Bridwell Agricultural Center.
The exhibit is free Friday and Saturday but for Saturday night's steak dinner and auction with live music, tickets are going fast.
