One man is dead following a motorcycle accident in Mangum, Oklahoma this morning.

Oklahoma DPS troopers say it happened just after 11 at the intersection of County Road 1465 and County Road 2040 in Greer County. They say 65-year-old John Malcolm Junior of Mangum was driving a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle.

He failed to negotiate a curve and the motorcycle left the road and hit a culvert throwing Malcolm 214 feet.

Troopers say Malcolm was not wearing a helmet.
