Dedication Of The Historical Site of The Red River Northern Boundary of The Republic of Texas
Saturday, April 29th, 11:30, Corner  of East 3rd and I44 in Burkburnett (1584 E. 3rd)
An engraved stone marker with an embedded Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) Historical Site Medallion will be unveiled. The marker commemorates the Red River as a portion of the northern boundary during the period when Texas was a Republic.

The Daughters of the Republic of Texas strive to educate, research, preserve, and protect the history of the Republic of Texas for future generations. They work throughout the year to recognize the memory and spirit of the men and women who created and maintained the independence of Texas, encourage historical research and promote the celebration of days honoring significant events in the history of the Republic and state.
