Don't talk with your mouth full

Wichita Falls police say a man they stopped as a suspect in a hit and run accident tried to chew up and swallow some marijuana while they questioned them.

17-year-old Anthony Palacios was stopped at Hamilton and  Midwestern shortly after a hit-and-run accident was reported in the 3100 block of Hamilton. A woman said she was pulling into her driveway when her car was hit by a white Mustang, and the driver drove off.

Officers say Palacios’ white Mustang had fresh damage to the front bumper and passenger side.

They say they could smell a  strong odor of marijuana in his car, and while talking to him saw him chewing on a green leafy substance and trying to swallow it.

Palacios was charged with tampering with evidence, possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone and leaving the scene of an accident.
