A sea of green was flowing through the streets in downtown Wichita Falls Saturday.

It was all part of the Saint Patrick's Day Downtown Dash 5k.

The race brought out more than 200 runners and attracted everyone from seasoned athletes to families from from across the area.

This is my city I’ve lived her my whole life and I always look up 5k's to go run and it just seemed really fun,” says runner Michaela Ayers.

“Usually the dash down Greenville in Dallas, every year, being Irish it's tradition but this year we're running the Wichita Falls race and supporting our local group out here,” says  runner Emily Fulcaher.

Runners who crossed the finish line with a four leaf clover in their hand won gift cards to many local businesses that donated the prizes.
