Dozens and dozens of people in Wichita Falls got a spicy start to their Saturday at Salsa Day at the downtown Wichita Falls Farmer's market.

The Charlie-Thornberry Farmers had plenty of samples of fresh and homemade chips and salsa for shoppers to try all morning long.

And yes, there were extra spicy, hot and mild options.

Organizers say this is a fun day for members of the community to come out and enjoy some free samples.

They also had a little something extra for those who may want to attempt to make some homemade salsa of their own.

"We are offering recipes so people can take that and make them at home if they want too," Shelby Young with Youngs Orchard says.

Just a reminder the downtown Wichita Falls Farmer's Market at 8th and Ohio  is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. with of your fresh produce for sale.
