Today Dr. Seuss would have turned one-hundred-ten, so what better way to celebrate than a party at the Wichita Falls Public Library?
Kids were invited to play games based on Dr. Seuss's works or sit to listen readers go through his greatest hits.
Voluteers with friends of the public library were on hand at the event, each wanting to give the gift of reading to kids.
"Every kid I have seen has had a smile on their face. They walk out hugging the books. They are so excited, they have a book of their own, they have great memories. They ate cake and they sang Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss," said volunteer Jean Hall.
Kids that made it through all of the events were rewarded at the end of the day, one free book was given to each child who attended.
