Over the past year or so, several young people have lost their lives in horrific acts of violence in the area.
Velma teen Braylee Henry was killed in June of last year.
14-year-old Alyssa Wiles was found fatally stabbed in June of this year, and last month, 22-year-old Austalian baseball player Chris Lane was gunned down by three teens who said they committed the murder because they were bored.
Organizers say today's Jericho Ride was biblically inspired.
Billy Morgan, Freedom Biker Church Pastor said, "To bring attention to our community, taking a stand against community violence. Our area, not only Duncan but Velma and the surrounding areas have made national news because of violent acts over the past few months and we're trying to counteract that with a positive message."
The ride ended with a rally of local churches at Halliburton Stadium. Those who didn't ride marched around the track seven times to show their insistence for change in their community.
