Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford says Devon Edwards went to a home in the 1000 block of Cyprus to get a cell phone from an ex-girlfriend. Ford says the woman didn't want to talk and went back into the house. He says Edwards beat on the door and she opened it a little, and Edwards pushed his way in. That's when 21-year-old Bradley Lewis approached Edwards and told him to leave, but Edwards told him he'd have to shoot him. Police say Lewis then shot Edwards 4 times in the chest.
Edwards was air lifted to an Oklahoma City hospital where he later died. Lewis was taken to the Stephens County Jail.
Chief Ford says the Stephens County District Attorney is reviewing the information. No word on whether any charges have been filed at this time.
