While Wichita Falls remains on stage two drought restrictions, Electra is not waiting any longer moving to stage three drought emergency water restrictions.
Electra is supplied water by pipeline from the Wichita Falls water plants.
Here are the rules to follow so you don't receive a fine:
-Odd-numbered addresses may water on Mondays only
-Even-numbered addresses can water only on Fridays
-In accordance with the above information, outdoor irrigation may occur between the hours of midnight to 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to midnight.
-You can't wash vehicles, except in commercial car wash facilities
-You also can't wash down any structures, other than for immediate fire protection
-Golf courses will be allowed to water only greens.
-Irrigation of landscaped areas and parks will not be allowed.  No waivers on new landscaping will be granted.
-No flushing gutters or permitting water to run or accumulate in any gutter or street
-Use of water in a fountain or pond for aesthetic or scenic purposes expect where necessary to support aquatic life
-Under an agreement with the Electra school administration, the athletic fields will be allowed to water according to the above address criteria; however, they will seek out alternative water sources.
-You can be fined for failure to repair controllable leaks within a reasonable period after having been given notice directing the repair
-You can also be fined for using water from outside fire hydrants for construction purposes or any other purposes other than firefighting and flushing of lines to maintain a potable water supply

Fines can range from $50 to $200 per incident, with each day of non-compliance to be considered an additional violation.
