HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATORS, STAFF AND RESIDENTS WATCHED AS GROUND WAS BROKEN FOR THE ELECTRA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL EXPANSION AND RENOVATION PROJECT.
THE *11- POINT- 4* MILLION DOLLAR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT WILL CONSIST OF 3 PHASES WHICH ARE PROJECTED TO BE COMPLETED BY APRIL OF 2013.
HOSPITAL OFFICIALS SAY THE RENOVATION WILL DOUBLE THE HEALTH FACILITIES CURRENT SIZE BY ADDING A 19- BED WING WITH EIGHT PRIVATE ROOMS.
THEY SAY THEY'RE EXCITED TO SEE EVERYTHING COME TOGETHER.
"The whole building the whole expansion is designed around the patients and what they need and how we can best serve them. So its a very patient friendly patient focussed design of the hospital", says hospital CEO Jan Reed.
PATIENTS WON'T BE THE ONLY ONES BENEFITTING FROM THE EXPANSION PROJECT.
DEVELOPERS SAY ABOUT 187 NEW FULL TIME JOBS WILL OPEN UP -- GIVING THE ECONOMY A BOOST OF NEARLY 33 MILLION DOLLARS.
