The city of Electra's down several officers after two turned in their resignations over the last couple of days.
Chief Johnny Morris says he was already down two officers, when he hired someone from the Archer County Sheriff's Office. Then, he says that officer left after four days, and moved on to the Montague County Sheriff's Office.
Morris says after that, an officer gave his two week's notice to go out and make more money in the oil field before another officer did the same.
So, now Electra has four openings Chief Morris says he's working to fill. And, after 40 years in law enforcement he says he's very particular about who he hires.
Those job openings are posted on the Texas Municipal League website.
