Emmers Sentenced for Three Aggravated Robberies

- A Wichita Falls man is convicted of playing a role in three aggravated robberies in the city and now knows his punishment.

Kadeem Emmers admitted to committing the June 2012 hold-up of the 7-11 at Southwest Parkway and Barnett.

He also had a hand in the June 2012 aggravated robbery of Whataburger on McNiel and the July 2012 robbery of the Stripes convenience store in the 2200 block of Southwest Pkwy.

Emmers told prosecutors the names of others involved in those robberies so he was offered a plea deal and will serve a 23 year prison sentence.

He'll receive 457 days credit for time already served.

One of the robbers Emmers turned in was his cousin, Akeem Nash.

He was also in court today after making a motion for a new trial.

He was sentenced to 45 years in prison last month after a jury found him guilty of the aggravated robbery of the 7-11 store.

Nash's motion for a new trial was denied.
