United Regional is scheduled to let go of 14 employees in the areas of laboratory, respiratory care and central services.
In a statement, communications coordinator Lynn Wiesen said the changes are to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Despite the cuts, Wiesen said the majority of these employees are working with Human Resources to be considered for other positions.
United Regional, the largest hospital in the region, is the fourth largest employer in Wichita Falls with more than 1,600 employees. In 2013, the hospital was recognized as one of the top 100 hospitals in the United States by Truven Health Analystics.
