Faith Mission prepping for winter weather

As the temperatures start to really go down, the number of those in need of warmth and shelter go up.

That's the situation folks at faith mission are preparing for tonight.

"Such a blessing to us. They welcome us in with open arms and they have been very helpful with a lot of resources"  Bajeta Grant, Client

Bejeta Grant is thankful for having a place for her family to go when the nights turn cold.

At Faith Mission, They've been hard at work collecting supplies for those in need, especially during the holiday season.

"It is definitely picking up, we are having more people coming in because of the weather." Steve Sparks, Director of Faith Mission

"The love they show for everyone who walks through the door, they open their arms to everybody," says Grant

Regardless of age.

"We need all sizes of coats but we are in particular need of children's sizes. Sometimes people don't think about children being homeless but we do have a lot of children that stay at both of our shelters, so we need a lot of children's coats."   Steve Sparks, Director of Faith Mission

Thankfully, Bejetta was already able to get coats for her children.

"We have received jackets and my children received jackets as well, I just made sure they had the hoods to go with it." Bajeta Grant, Client

And with the cold coming, they'll definitely need them!

The Mission was able to give out around 800 coats to residents in need and this year they expect to have anywhere between 50 to 100 people a week who will need a jacket this holiday season.
