Faith Mission and Faith Refuge help men, women, and children in need and now, the organization is launching a campaign to revitalize its thrift store.
The organization is trying to improve its image inside and out.
The goal is to increase proceeds and the number of people it can help.
Steve Sparks, executive direcotor of Faith Mission, says the thrift shop resembles any other thrift store in town but behind every piece of clothing, furniture or electronics, is a mission to help those in need.
"What we are asking people to do is to consider donating to us and we are also hoping that people will come shop at the thrift store because all the proceeds to go to help our ministries," Sparks says.
Sparks says the idea to improve the quality of the store's goods will appeal to many.
"We wanted our store to provide the kind of clothing and the type of furnishing and housewares that people are actually looking for," Sparks says. "We know that during this economy, people are looking for a bargain."
In addition to the improvements to done to the interior of the store, Faith Mission officials are also trying to improve the store's exterior.
Sparks says, "We've done some work on the inside, we brought in new shelving and we painted the inside of the store and now we are looking for volunteers to help us paint the outside."
Sparks feels Faith Mission is doing its best but can do so much more for the community.

They are accepting donations at all their locations.
