Organizers have been watching the weather closely and forecasters predict an 80% chance of rain or higher Saturday.
And while we all need the rain, the need to pull off the community event come rain or shine brought organizers and the city together Thursday to find a new home for this year's Falls Fest.
For the second time this week crews are setting up for Falls Fest.
“We had the park set up about 50 or 60% of the park set up but then they decided to change it because of the weather,” said Falls Fest Construction head, David White.
Memories of last year's wet and rainy event had organizers concerned as they looked to this year's event and a similar weather scenario shaping up.
“We didn't want to get rained out again and we have just decided to be proactive and move it here in case of the rain,” said Tanya Gillen, the Falls Fest Co-director.
“I knew it was coming because of the weather, just one of those deals you have got to deal with,” said White.
And now, if the rain does come, there's a plan in place to stay dry.
Coordinators say all booths and vendors will still be outside unless it does rain, then they'll move inside.
Concerts will all be held in the coliseum rain or shine.
One thing that isn't changing though is the volleyball tournament and runs.
Those activities will still take place at Lucy Park.
