It's been about a year since Downtown Proud took the Farmer's Market over from the City.
In that year they've made many improvements to the facility.
They've installed drought resistant plants and soon they'll be updating the electrical, installing ceiling fans and repairing the floor.
Eventually, members hope to add a new tent for shade and even extend to a year round schedule.
The city plans is adding bus to stop a little closer to the Farmer's Market at 7th and Ohio. That stop will start opening day May 14th, and run every day the market is open.
The Farmer's from Charlie - Thornberry will arrive at the market SDaturday, may 21st.
Mark your calendar. The market will host Blackberry Day June 1st. Peach Day June 6th. July 20th, the market will feature black-eyed peas. The popular Watermelon Festival will be July 27th.
