The fate of Electra's police chief will be decided during Tuesday's city commission meeting.
Johnny Morris has been the town's police chief for 11 years but more than a month ago, talks started circulating that Morris' job was in jeopardy.
In mid-June the June 25th city commission agenda confirmed the talk.
But that meeting was postponed because of a family emergency regarding Mayor Curtis Warner.
Now, the termination of Chief Morris will be addressed at Tuesday's commission meeting which starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Electra Chamber of Commerce.
