A Wichita Falls father is now charged in a May incident in which his four-year-old shot a handgun into a local daycare.

Twenty-eight year-old Brian Stone is charged with endangering a child.

He turned himself in on a felony county warrant Monday and bonded out of the Wichita County Jail on a $5000 bond.

An arrest affidavit states in May, Stone went to a daycare in the 4700 block of K Mart Dr. with his two children, ages two and four, in the car.

It states Stone went into the daycare to drop off his two-year-old, leaving his four-year-old son in the car.

Authorities say that child picked up Stone's 9mm handgun and fired it.

The affidavit states the bullet went through the vehicle's front passenger window and hit the outside wall of the church daycare.

It states the handgun kicked back and struck the four-year-old who got a cut above his eyebrow.

That was the only injury in the incident.
