First Responders, Family, and Friends Honor James "Whit" Davis

Hundreds of people came out to mourn the loss of James "Whit" Davis as the sanctuary was filled with corrections officers from Allred and the Wichita County Sheriff's Office.

48-year-old Whit Davis died following an accident while riding his motorcycle Wednesday. Wichita County Sheriff David Duke says Davis worked for the sheriff's office part time and was a very devoted employee.
In addition to his part-time job at the Sheriff's Office, Davis worked full time at the James V. Allred Unit.

"Thank you all for your love and support for our family. It only validates what I've known about my husband forever since the day I met him. We had an amazing husband, an amazing daddy, and an amazing best friend. Thank you," Elaine Davis, Whit's Wife

Funny, loving, and caring were just a few of the words used to describe whit this morning by his loved ones.
Davis leaves behind his wife and three kids, his youngest daughter is just 8-years-old.
