Stage 4 water restrictions begin in Wichita Falls this weekend but that is not stopping the dedication of the city's first community garden.
After more than a year of planning the Smith Street Community Garden is finally ready.
Crews turned an empty field on the Eastside into 79 gardening plots that can be leased seasonally or yearly.
The dedication of the Smith Community Garden is tomorrow at 11 a.m..
It is across form the Martin Luther King Center on Smith Street.
Since Stage 4 water restrictions start Saturday coordinators say the dedication will take place tomorrow but plots will not be sold until the city water's situation improves.
