An 18-wheeler driver is listed in critical condition with severe burns at the University Medical Center in Lubbock following a deadly crash near Dumas. The Department of Public Safety says it happened on Sunday at a rural intersection about four miles northeast of Dumas.

Officials say five teenagers were in a 2012 Chevrolet pickup on Morton Elevator Road when the driver ran a stop sign. That's when they were hit by an 18-wheeler headed south on FM 1284. Troopers says all five teens were pronounced dead at the scene.
