The classic rock band helped found the non-profit organization "Rock to the Rescue" an organization that donates money to charities by raffling off items.
Last month, they contacted the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank and told them they were chosen to benefit from the fundraiser.
A guitar autographed by the band and other artists, was raffled off, with a portion of sales going to the food bank.
“It's an incredible opportunity for us we get 25% of the proceeds and then the remaining percent actually goes to their bigger organization. So this last round they sent money to the Boston runners, the marathon, the ones that were injured and the families and before that they supported Moore, Oklahoma through the tornadoes. So they donate 100% of their money,” says Food Bank Director of Development and Marketing Besti Lujan.
