Foot Chase Leads to Recovery of Stolen Vehicle

A foot chase leads to the recovery of a stolen vehicle in Wichita Falls.

It started just before 12:30 Tuesday afternoon when police stopped a black Nissan Sentra in the 1500 block of 30th Street. However the driver didn't stop for police.

Instead authorities say he fled on foot to 31st Street where he was captured. During the course of the investigation, police determined the black car was a stolen vehicle.

The driver, 20-year-old Johnny Dewayne Hutson was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest, and failure to identify.

The passenger, 31-year-old Janis Daye Hernadez was arrested on a US Marshall warrant for failure to appear.

Their bonds have not been set.
