Two former Altus police officers have been arraigned for allegedly receiving stolen property and have their pretrial conferences set for September.
17 year veteran Russell Hansel and 11 year veteran Jose Arce appeared in court this morning in the Jackson County Courthouse.
Officials say Hansel is free on bond while Arce remains jailed.
They were arrested in February after a sting operation was set up by the FBI with assistance of the Altus Police Department.
The FBI had been investigating reports of illegal activities by the officers and enlisted the aid of an Altus detective who sold items he told Hansel and Arce were stolen.
The purchases were believed to have been recorded with surveillance cameras.
The pair face several charges in connection with the case and Hansel also faces a charge of possession of a sawed off shotgun.
