Former Holliday Softball Coach to Go to Trial in February

Trial is set for the former Holliday High School softball coach who's accused of having sex with one of his players.
David Austin Norris appeared in 97th District Court yesterday.
The judge set his trial for early February.
Norris was originally charged with one count of sexual assault of a child, two counts of indecency with a child, and three counts of improper relationship with a student.
A 97th District Court docket shows he is going to trial for improper relationship between an educator and student and indecency with a child by sexual contact.
Norris was the softball coach at Holliday for four years.
He was also listed as coaching junior varsity football and basketball.
Norris resigned from his position in June.
Sergeant Simon Dwyer with the Archer County Sheriff's Office says there are several alleged offenses which occurred over the past two years.
He says they involved a girl who is now 17.
He says the offenses started when the victim was 16.
