A former MSU football player pleads guilty to hitting another man so hard that he's now suffering a traumatic brain injury.

Tino Tuilata is sentenced to nine years deferred adjudication for the charge of aggravated assault.

He'll also have to pay $15-thousand in restitution to the victim.

According to an arrest affidavit, in May, Tuilata punched the man in the head in the Old Town Saloon parking lot.

Police say Tuilata admitted the incident was unprovoked.

Tuilata was listed as an offensive tackle on the 2012 MSU football roster.
