Attention all Vietnam vets in Texoma! Fort Sill wants to give you the heroes welcome you deserve. The post is inviting all Vietnam veterans to a weekend celebration.

There will be a welcome home procession and ceremony on post Friday and on Saturday there will be a ceremony at 11 a.m. at McMahon Auditorium in Lawton.

Veterans are asked to arrive for tomorrow's events by 9 a.m. and park at the U.S. Field Artillery Museum inside the Key gate. Vets and their families will be bused to the Rinehart Fitness Center for the ceremony followed by a luncheon and other events.

The public is encouraged to line the procession route to cheer these vets. Vets who want to attend the luncheon Friday should make reservations by calling 580-595-4559. On Saturday vets will be honored at the Vietnam War Commemoration Ceremony at 11 a.m.

The keynote address will be by retired General Gordon Sullivan, former Army Chief of Staff and a Vietnam Veteran Himself.
