Fourth Suspect in Craigslist Check Forgery Scheme Jailed

A fourth suspect in a check forgery case involving Craigslist postings is now in the Wichita County Jail.

Freddy Flores Jr., 32, has a $10,000 bond on engaging in organized criminal activity-forgery.

He joins three women also charged in this alleged scheme in which blank checks were offered for sale on Craigslist for $100 a piece with advice on where they could be passed.

Officers say the group, which could involve more than a dozen people, was using the popular classifieds site to sell checks stolen from a Wichita Falls business. They say the Craigslist posts stated where the checks could be passed without showing identification and claimed that thousands of dollars could be made.

Laura Lovejoy, 32, is also charged in the reported scheme, as are 30-year-old Miranda Hammond and 36-year-old Temetra Mallett.
