Frank Talks Water Issues, Legislature's Biggest Accomplishment
Fresh out of the Texas Legislature's Special Session, Representative James Frank is back in his home district.
Wednesday, he spoke out about what he thinks was the biggest success during the 83rd legislative session.
Frank was the keynote speaker at the Clay County Chamber of Commerce meeting this afternoon.
He says the state's water issues now top his priority list.
He says innovativeness in protecting the essential resource, like Wichita Falls' water reuse project, could soon be rewarded.
"From the state standpoint, this session we finally passed the water plan, basically the water bank," Frank says. "We passed $2 billion out of the Rainy Day Fund, ironically enough, to fund the water infrastructure bank that will help the locals on big projects that they have and basically provide financing from them."
The creation of the Water Infrastructure Bank depends on the outcome of the statewide vote in November.
