Fundraiser Introduces a New Type of Tug-of-War

    Special Olympics of North Texas wants to know just how strong you are ten of your closest friends are.
    Organizers are throwing a new fundraiser into the mix this year, raising money to continue programs for special needs children in our community.
    Mike Strickland, the director of Special Olympics of North Texas, says, "We're just getting teams together of 10 to 12 people and they'll be pulling a fire truck to see how far they can pull it, and I think we're going to get some of our Special Olympics athletes on the teams."
    The first ever fire truck pull benefiting Special Olympics of North Texas is Saturday, Sept. 22.
    It will costs teams of 10 to 12 people $200 to enter.
