Skylar Bell was killed last Thursday night after DPS troopers say the second grader was hit by a truck half a mile east of Harrold on highway 287.
Although Harrold ISD officials say Skylar had only been enrolled in school for a few weeks, they say her death was still difficult for students.
So the district brought in three counselors who had students make pictures to help cope with the loss.
Earlier today, some of those classmates joined Skylar's family at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel in Vernon, to pay their final respects.
