Gold-Burg ISD Names New Superintendent

- Gold-Burg ISD board of trustees are expected to officially hire a new superintendent during the 7 p.m., school district meeting. The new superintendent will be Roger Ellis.

He comes from Tom Bean ISD, which is near Sherman, Texas, where he served as high school principal for the past seven years. Overall, Ellis says he has 21 years of experience in education.

He is expected to sign a 33 month contract as Gold-Burg ISD superintendent. Ellis is replacing Jim Rice as superintendent, who left to take a job with Region 9 here in Wichita Falls.
