Texoma has a new center to help the public find and be more marketable as they hunt for a job. The Goodwill Career Development Center is open in the store's new Southwest Parkway location.
The facility has four computers so clients can search for and apply for jobs. Right now, the center is manned by just one employee, but officials say that will change once more customers start coming there for help.
Center Director Daniel Medina said, "When we start getting more personnel in we're gonna start doing classes at noon. Short. Something you can come and do on your lunch period. Come in knock it out. Anything for resume building, online searches, things of that nature."
Medina says he's currently working with local businesses to provide vouchers to clients who cannot afford to have their hair cut or buy a new suit for job interviews. The center is open weekdays from 9 to 5.
