Graham Alcohol Sales to be on November Ballot Again

Graham residents have the chance to decide once again on beer and wine sales in the city. Young County is dry but supporters of alcohol sales gathered over 1200 signatures to get the alcohol measure on the November ballot.

The petition was declared valid by the election administrator, so Monday morning, Young County commissioners voted and decided to add the measure to the regular election ballot on November 4th.

Only voters in precinct one will see the alcohol measure on the ballot.

That will include Graham, Eliasville, and South Bend.

If passed, beer and wine could be sold in stores, but only consumed off the property.

By the way, this will be the second time in 2 years voters will be asked to decide if beer and wine will be offered in Graham stores.
