Friday afternoon Texas Gas Service was digging a hole and hit a water main causing over one million gallons of water to flow over a mile through the streets.
After almost two days of working around the clock, the leak was repaired and the road was patched up on Sunday.
City officials say this weekend's events escalated the leaks affects.
“We had our antique car show this weekend, stars and cars and you know during the whole event we're running water down the street which didn't make them very happy and a couple of the stores that would have gotten some businesses of that weren't able to open because we had their street blocked so they lost some revenue,” says Graham Engineer David Casteel.
The work has cost about 65 thousand dollars, a cost the gas company has agreed to pay.
