Archer County sheriff's officials say the case involving an apparent murder of a Megargel man will be sent to the grand jury.
Lieutenant Simon Dwyer says the body of 54-year-old Billy Jack Stevens Sr. was found by a passer-by April 23.
An arrest was not made in Stevens' murder.
Dwyer says the case is going to the grand jury, and they'll decide whether or not to indict the person or persons responsible to Stevens' death.
They'll meet at the beginning of June.
Dwyer says Stevens' body was lying in the front yard of a home in the 600-block of Fifth St. in Megargel and that injuries are consistent with blunt force trauma.
He says no weapons were found, but alcohol does appear to have been a factor.
He also says Stevens' death has been ruled a homicide.
